Decisions, Decisions…

Should I buy a house… or use the money I’ve been saving for my future home to go to Bali instead and design a clothing line?

WestJet Flight:

Last night I flew from Edmonton to Fort McMurray to visit my family for Thanksgiving. My flight ended up being delayed so I ended up playing with my hoops in the airport to pass the time during the wait. A few minutes in a little girl walked by and stopped to watch. After getting my hooping fix I went over and offered my hoop to the bored little girl to play with. She LOVED it! She took to it so fast. We played and I taught her a few moves and the time passed by quickly. Suddenly I hear an announcment on the speaker. It’s a WestJet representative over the intercome telling everyone in the terminal that “Hula Hoops are fun!” I look up and they’ve posted it on the bulletin screen above the ticket counter. THEN, she annouces “We’d like to get the men up here hula hooping. If any of your boys have the guts to come up here and give hula hooping a try we’ve got a few prizes here for you!” (Some golf balls, tees and a Time Hortons gift certificate) The terminal went completely silent as all eyes went to the boys. After a long moment of anticipation a man stood up and made his way to the front to win the prize.
Fast forward to this morning and I check my e-mail to find a message from WestJet with refund for my ENTIRE round trip fight AND a $50.00 credit for my next WestJet flight. The message said: “I WANTED TO THANK YOU FOR KEEPING OUR GUESTS
ENTERTAINED DURING THE WAIT IN THE AIRPORT
YOU DEFINATELY MADE THE DEALY PASS BY MUCH
QUICKER FOR ALL OUR GUESTS. AND ELISE (the little girl) LOOKED
LIKE SHE WAS HAVING SO MUCH FUN.
ON BEHALF OF WESTJET I SEND OUR THANKS
AND I HAVE SET UP A $50.00 CREDIT FOR
YOU NEXT FLIGHT. HAPPY THANKSGIVING
 AND HAPPY HULA HOOPING!”
Thanks WestJet!!
Much love,
SaFire

Hoop Camp Forest Jam:

Patrick A.K.A Merlin brought an extra 40 PSI hoops to Hoop Camp and let us all play with them in the forest on Saturday night. It was a beautiful and awe inspiring site to see so many glow hoops all at once.

Hoop Mandala:

When we arrived at Hoop Camp we were given a stone to write our intentions on. During the opening ceremony we shared our intention for this weekend and then placed our rock in this hoop mandala. My intention for the weekend was “Friendship.” I wanted to spend the weekend getting to know fellow hoopers. At previous hoop retreats I felt nervous about meeting others and feel like it sheltered me from making more friends. This time I had a blast, met tons of great people and feel like I really had the chance to connect!
