Making hoops like a mad woman! 5 down… 15 more to go!
Hooping Manifesto - Hoop City - Hooping Community
This manifesto is a work in progress and
is here to represent in words what hooping means to us,
how it has changed our lives for the better and the lessons we have
learned through the hoop.

Hooper’s Manifesto
|
Integrity - We do what we say we will do. If we cannot
keep our promise we let other know as soon as possible to find a
newer, better solution
Balance - Everything we do in our lives are connected. We
will give balanced energy to others and to ourselves in our work,
play, body and mind.
Independence - We have the strength to create our own
futures and our own lives, independently of our childhood, our past
and our present situation.
Fun - We appreciate everyday, filling the frustrating ones
with activities that generate smiles and laughter.

LED Hoops in the forest at Hoop Camp 2009
Patrick A.K.A Merlin brought an extra 40 PSI hoops to Hoop Camp and let us all play with them in the forest on Saturday night. It was a beautiful and awe inspiring site to see so many glow hoops all at once.
This past weekend I had the amazing opportunity to attend Hoop Camp in Santa Cruz. It was truly a hooper’s heavan. The retreat space was gorgeous and welcomed us into the breathtaking red woods.
When we arrived at Hoop Camp we were given a stone to write our intentions on. During the opening ceremony we shared our intention for this weekend and then placed our rock in this hoop mandala. My intention for the weekend was “Friendship.” I wanted to spend the weekend getting to know fellow hoopers. At previous hoop retreats I felt nervous about meeting others and feel like it sheltered me from making more friends. This time I had a blast, met tons of great people and feel like I really had the chance to connect!
Kent caught me on video playing with my hoops at Flow. I love those hoops… sadly I accidently left them in Portland so I’ll have to make a new set.
Much Love,

Hoop Instructor of the Year: It’s crazy to even believe I won a Hoopie Award! I remember looking at Hooping.org last year and thinking, “sigh… I wonder if I could ever be good enough to win a Hoopie.” Accomplishment is a nice feeling. It’s a new feeling too since I had a lot of indirected energy in my youth. I was nominated as well in three other categories. Fire Hooper of the Year, Hooping Video of the Year and Female Hooper of the Year. It is truely an honor to even be nominated considering the other hoopers in these categories. Such amazing beings!
Much love,
